Christmas Festivities

Some of my favorite things about the Christmas season are all the Christmas FESTIVITIES and this holiday season has been full of them! It included a Christmas devotional at the conference center, a fancy, schmancy party at the Hilton Hotel, more parties, sugar cookies, gingerbread houses, slumber party with Jessica, pajamas, birthdays, and Gardner Village! I've loved it all!

First Presidency Christmas Devotional

Amanda, Elisa, and myself scored tickets at the last minute to go to the First Presidency Christmas Devotional. It was so wonderful! If we had Alissa, our Relief Society Presidency would be complete! Amanda serves as President, Elisa as secretary, Alissa is 1st counselor, and I am the 2nd counselor. I am so lucky to have such great girls to serve with in our Relief Society! Talk about one wild, crazy, loud presidency!

Trip to Gardner Village! I absolutely LOVE this place! We went on a hunt for cotton candy, fudge, and for the elves!

One Semester Down!

So I have completed my first semester of graduate school!!! YAY!!! Which means, they haven't kicked me out yet! HA! Actually, I did surprisingly well in all of my classes and enjoyed every minute of it.....well, most of it. I think the biggest challenge of the semester was LAB (cadaver lab)!!! Ughhh! Boy, did I dread going in there. We called the hall way that led up to the lab the "Green Mile"! Though, it's funny to me how I disliked much of it, yet, it was the most amazing learning experience I have ever engaged myself in! I compare it to Paris......afterward, I appreciated it much more! (My friends who went to Paris with me know what I mean, ha). But as I have stated once before (in a different blog post), this semester REALLY has stretched me in ways I never thought possible, provided me the opportunity to dissect an entire human body....whoa, gave me new insights into occupational therapy, taught me about the amazing detail, physiology, and structure of the human body, taught me about various disabilities and conditions/diseases, and provided me with new, awesome friends! I love my classmates......they're all so funny and so great! Thanks to them, they have kept me sane throughout the semester!

To celebrate passing our first exams, we went 80's dancing!

A bunch of us went to the midnight showing of Harry Potter: The Deathly Hallows! I must add that this was my FIRST midnight showing......ever! It was great!

Don't Worry, I Didn't Skip Thanksgiving!

Well yay for Thanksgiving! Let's just say that I am very grateful for good food, PIES, family, friends, and fun festivities! To start off the holiday, my friends from school (Jamie, Rachelle and Shalee) and I went to a Pilgrim/Indian Party.......(haha, how fun is that! I wish I would have thought of that!) It was so great! These boys that put on the party have such a great house! They also had tasty goodies, awesome costumes, and sweet dance moves! Can I just say that one of the funniest sights is a pilgrim getting his groove on....HA! Overall, we had a great time!

For our Thanksgiving Break, we didn't get much time off from school. We actually had school up until the day before, but that's ok. At least I was able to get home in time and safely to Twin Falls!!!

One of my best buddies, Ashlie rode home with me. We didn't realize that the drive back would be a drive to remember and 11 hours long......thanks to the weather!
